Talking Nonsense

Have you ever felt like you are talking a different language to everyone else? Sometimes I have had that experience when I am leading a youth group session. No matter what I say, the young people continue to look at me strangely. A bit like this video…

Sometimes though, this isn’t our fault. We are called to be different and to speak a different language. The Gospel world of Christ is upside down – the last shall be first, in his death wee find life and so on. But I think as youth workers we are often called to be the translators – helping people who hear the message as we hear the lip synch video to truly understand the Good News for themselves. Happy translating!
