Imago Dei

All humans are made in the image of God – it is an amazing thing to imagine, but somehow we often gloss over this truth. Everyone – no matter who they are, what they look like or even where they live – is made in God’s image, and shows something of their creator whether acknowledged or not. We need to encourage all of the young people in our groups to celebrate and enjoy this variety, not deride or ostracise those who are different. This simple story of a jeweller will hopefully both challenge your preconceptions and also inpire you with what is possible. Why not show it to your group and reflect together on the amazing way in which God has made us all different.
